Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, subject to moon sighting. That means February is really two different travel windows, so it helps to choose on purpose.
Travelling in the first week or so means mild weather, more manageable crowds and better hotel choice. It is a good fit if you want a calmer Umrah but still want to feel the build-up to Ramadan.
Once Ramadan begins, demand rises sharply. Hotels close to the Haram book out earlier, and the Haram is busiest for Taraweeh and Tahajjud. Prices can also differ from standard February packages.
